– Clovis, NM – May 23, 2008 – Blues Farm Records will start its summer concert series tonight at the Do Drop In. On Avenue A in Portales, the Do Drop In has begun offering acoustic shows out back in the patio area. There is no cover charge for the shows and they have great sandwiches, desserts and drinks.
Blues Farm Records' artist Sansietch, widely known for his improvisational rock music, also has several albums of acoustic music, including Acoustic River and Fields Of Glory. Both CDs are out of print as of this writing, but the indie label has told us some remixing and mastering, as well as some re-recording, will see both CDs available again by July 2008. Sansietch is scheduled to kick off the show, which begins at 7 p.m., and perform at least a full hour of his original music.
Mark Kelley has recently released his debut CD on Blues Farm Records. The CD is available on his website, http://markkelley.webs.com, as well as the label website, http://bluesfarm.webs.com. Expected is a mixture of material from the self-titled CD as well as both new and old songs. Mark will also perform over an hour of original material, something Blues Farm Records is known for on its albums. Rumor also has it the two will perform several songs together as well.
Blues Farm Records has recently signed several indie artists and says it is committed to giving its fans a wide variety of good music. Look for Gary Gorence of Santa Fe to release a debut CD soon, and the label has said it may try to bring a show with all its artists together later this summer. Whether that would happen around Clovis or Santa Fe is not yet clear.
An unbelievable blending of styles, and an extraordinary first outing for Mark Kelley, the Blues Farm Records country artist from New Mexico. On Mark Kelley, the artist has broken all the rules. His southern style vocals and the over the top guitar work of Sansietch make this album an instant groundbreaking classic.

Mark Kelley is a trove of limitless jewels, such as the wrenching It Don't Make The Man, and She's Everything, an ode to Mark's Fiancée, Amy. The grumbling bass lines that drive one through the New Mexico anthem, Home, and the stomping country beat of I Don't Give A Damn, are testament to the blending of rich, diverse styles.
There are several songs just itching to reside on mp3 players, right between Dierks Bentley and Craig Morgan. Even the raucous honky-tonk sing-a-longs like What The Hell? instantly transport a listener to places with sawdust on the floor and live bands playing music.Mark Kelley fans will whoop it up to hear the artist sing and play acoustic on the simple and poignant Long Way. The perfect debut for country music, the southwestern New Mexico sound, comes from the home of much great music, Clovis, NM. Since Buddy Holly and Leann Rimes made their mark there, and great artists such as Waylon Jennings and other country greats came to Clovis to make history, America has been waiting for this unlikely blend of south and Sansietch. It does make one wonder if these outlaw musicians have finally found their niche in country music forever.
Sansietch, the legendary guitarist from New Mexico. once again does everything. He writes the material, arranges it, performs and records it, and produces the entire work. See him perform acoustically at The Main ARTeri on July 28th, 2007 at 7pm.
